TVS Wego unisex gearless scooter to Hit Indian Roads Soon - TVS Wego Scooter

TVS Wego is the latest entrant into the two wheeler segment. TVS Motors; one of the leading two wheeler manufacturers in India, is all set to launch the TVS Wego, a brand new unisex gearless scooter.

The launch of TVS Wego scooter took place alongside the company's clutch-less motorcycle TVS Jive. HS Goindi, President Marketing, TVS Motor Ltd, told CNBC-TV1, "Last month we put TVS Wego only in a small number, as scooters in a few areas, this month we will be selling more numbers."

TVS Wego is a great two wheeler which produces a maximum power of 8 bhp at 7500 rpm with a max torque of 8Nm at 5500 rpm. TVS Wego is a much awaited release by TVS motors and the company has spent Rs 50 crore on the development of the TVS Wego. The leading two wheeler manufacturer said that the company plans to launch two vehicles every year from now on.

TVS Motors has posted a 15 percent growth with 1,521,912 units as against 1,325,754 units in the previous financial year. The domestic sales on the other hand, grew by 25 percent. TVS Motors currently competes with Bajaj Auto in the Indian two-wheeler market and is the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country.
